Watchbirds
The Watchbirds are a crime-fighting organization founded by Joe Valeski in order to consolidate and organize his campaign against the Lord of Betrayal that threatened the Phoenix School for Higher Learning in 2041. They are split into two teams, an Intel team and a Field team, who work in tandem to research and follow the Lord of Betrayal's movements. They are an unofficial organization, and therefore legally do not exist and are more of a glorified friend group than anything, for now, but are officially recognized by both the Black Ashes and the AHOLES, and are one of three "gangs" at the Phoenix School. Their goal is simply to fight for justice, defeat the Lord, and make the world a better place by doing so.
Structure
Led by Joe Valeski , who is the de facto leader of the Watchbirds. Under him are Lewis Edwards and Archangelo Rossi , who serve as co-leaders. This is the only real leadership structure of the Watchbirds (Joe ---> Lewis/Archangelo ---> everyone else) given that the group is so small so as to not need a clear and rigid structure.
Public Agenda
Formed by Joe Meriweather for the singular purpose of unmasking the Lord of Betrayal terrorizing the Phoenix School for Higher Learning and defeating him once and for all. As an extension of this goal, they seek to find the Lord of Betrayal's armor as well as the Eternal Blade hidden on school grounds.
Assets
Their computers, AIs, one large drill, Hunter Powers' repair equipment, and Archangelo Rossi's influence as President.
History
October 16, 2041: Following the attack on Joe Meriweather at the Phoenix School's library and his subsequent trial in Arteija, Meriweather founds the Watchbirds with a group of friends: Lewis Edwards , Archangelo Rossi , Eric Powers , Alphonse Taranto , Ni'Kola Prytison , and Olivia Wereclaw . Though Lukas Gibson is invited, he declines to join as it is against his "safety first" mentality.
February 1, 2042: After a conflict with their allies, the Black Ashes , Rossi, Taranto, and Prytison leave the Watchbirds, and, despite the urging of his remaining members, Meriweather disbands the organization.
March 29, 2042: After Meriweather, Edwards, and Professor Hunter Powers discover the Alpha Blade, the Watchbirds reassemble and turn their focus to defeating the Lord of Betrayal.
Technological Level
The Watchbirds have available to them, by way of the Phoenix School for Higher Learning 's available technologies:
one Matrix and accompanying AI for each of them
an online account and storage system (ie Drive but better) across the school's computers
Hunter Powers 's owned tools and repair equipment
However, given that they lack legal autonomy and a means to purchase anything during their stay at the Phoenix School, the Watchbirds' technological advancement is limited to only what they can do with these things and anything acquired from the Black Ashes . The one edge that the Watchbirds have over their competitors, who possess raw materials and technologies, is having the two Alpha Clan geniuses, Lewis Edwards and Ni'Kola Prytison , in their employ, allowing them to most efficiently and effectively combine and enhance any and all technologies they acquire.
Trade & Transport
The products and technologies exchanged between the Watchbirds and their allies, the Black Ashes , are always swapped in a secretive, furtive corner of the Phoenix School for Higher Learning . They are always delivered by hand by members of each organization, as quickly and quietly as possible, so as to not be discovered by the Guardsmen of the school.
Education
Most members of the Watchbirds are in their first year at the Phoenix School for Higher Learning, with the exception of Archangelo Rossi, Alphonse Taranto , and Ni'Kola Prytison , who are second years.

Major Exports
Possessing two top-notch inventers and innovators in Lewis Edwards and Ni'Kola Prytison, the main service that the Watchbirds provide is repair, namely, rebuilding the damaged drill recovered by the Black Ashes from the AHOLES. This is the main crux of their inter-organizational relationship.
Major Imports
The main desired resource in the Watchbirds is special technology, advanced Technoverse materials needed to build their Lord of Death/Sword of Alpha detecting machine, as well as constructing and augmenting their meager infrastructure. Especially after the discovery of the Sword of Alpha (thanks in no small part to the machine built from these acquired technologies), the Watchbirds need materials and technology in order to set their trap for the Lord of Betrayal to take him down once and for all.
Legislative Body
All laws and orders are made and issued by the leader, Joe Valeski.
Judicial Body
Also Joe Valeski entirely.
