Freeport: The Free Market

Purpose / Function

Freeport is one of the most lucrative trade ports in the lands, virtually anything can be brought and sold here for a price. The free market is a large open square that is lined with constantly changing stalls selling a myriad of wares from around the world. The market is active throughout the day and night with the area constantly filled with the noise of the crowd and of merchant hawking their wares.

Architecture

The Square is paved with cobble stones of varying shades of greys and tan. Gutters criss cross the area and combined with the numerous drains to ensure that the square is always well drained and is cleaned daily by the a gang of apprentice wizards which are funded by the various merchant guilds in the area. At the center of the square stands the large circular temple that is know locally as The Circle.
