Inora Scalekin

Inora was the youngest child born into a large family of dissidents, sworn to serve the bloodline of a metallic dragon, currently unknown. Her family was nomadic in nature, traveling and tinkering at odd jobs across the continent as a cover for their larger goals. The family was ultimately captured whilst transporting a metallic dragon egg. While many members were deemed too difficult to reprogram, a number of the younger children including 5 cousins, and Inora (age 4) were sent to separate orphanages for rehabilitation and integration.   Inora was sent to Sunday, and given the last name Scalekin, a name traditionally given to orphans with no known parents. She was raised to believe her parents were bad people who did something unforgivable, but the details of who they were, other family members, etc, have become blurrier over time. Her deprogramming is believed to have no memory alteration.   Inora was ultimately raised as a model citizen of the Legion Marred. She plays by the rules of the Empire and knows the consequences if she doesn’t. The trauma of her young life left her anxious and insecure, and that anxiety was something she channeled into physical labor. As a child she threw herself into orphanage chores. As a teen, through the orphanages hiring services, she took on odd physically active jobs, like working for government construction, logging, or mining as part of the government labor work initiatives.   Through a series of recommendations, promotions and relocations, Inora started doing more work in Kalom-kalom and eventually relocated there. After seven years working construction, eventually becoming a supervisor, Inora had a mental breakdown after discovering one of her workers was a dissident attempting to sabotage a government project. After some time away, her direct supervisors got her an office position in an attempt to keep things tidy.   After a year working in the office, doing menial tasks, Inora is as restless as ever, and the events of that day still linger in her mind…   Until a friendly bar patron, Bird Feather, met with Inora under false pretenses of being a state-sponsored therapist.   Afraid of the consequences of her actions, Inora requested a leave of absence for three months before setting off for the Derelict Ark with her newfound companion.
