The consequences of The Holy Dominion of Daghda's harsh policies soon manifested themselves in the daily life of the populace. Since the advent of magic, people had learned to use it to enhance their livelihoods - it had become an integral part of farming, hunting, healing, and many other aspects of life. With the ban on magic, these practices ceased.

Farms began yielding only a fraction of their previous bounties, as the magical enhancements that promoted growth were no longer employed. Hunters, who used magic for tracking and capturing game, returned empty-handed more often. The field of medicine, which had greatly benefited from magical healing, suffered a severe setback. Diseases, once kept at bay by magical interventions, began to spread unchecked, leading to an increase in mortality rates.   This series of unfortunate events culminated in a drastic decrease in the average life expectancy, and the population plunged even deeper into a new dark age. The prohibition of magic, once seen as a solution to the chaos, emerged as a new crisis. The theocratic regime, while succeeding in gaining control, left the kingdom in a state of despair and regression that echoed the harsh times following the Black Decay.   Previous event
