Mórinaqua
Black Water
Mórinaqua, the land of the Nimrochith, was a vast and inhospitable marshland located to the southwest of Tathariel. The terrain varied widely, from the sulfur-rich hot springs in the north to the saltwater marshes along the coast. The environment was challenging, but it was also home to an abundance of rare plants, fungi, and herbs with potent alchemic properties making it a coveted destination for herbalists and alchemists.
The northern reaches of Mórinaqua were characterized by geothermal activity, with hot springs and fumaroles dotting the landscape. This created a unique environment with its own distinct flora and fauna, including sulfur-tolerant bacteria and heat-loving plants. Many unique minerals and elements where also created from these hot springs and could be put to use creating powerful alchemical potions and elixirs.
Navigating through Mórinaqua was treacherous, with its murky waters and numerous hidden dangers. As one traveled southward through Mórinaqua, the terrain gradually became more challenging, with dense, tangled vegetation and treacherous bogs. The region was home to all manner of crawling and slithering creatures, from venomous snakes to giant spiders. The marshes were also home to many amphibians, including frogs, toads, and salamanders, and numerous birds and smaller mammals.
Despite its challenges, Mórinaqua was a bountiful and valuable region, providing a unique source of resources and knowledge to those willing to brave its dangers. It was here the Nimrochith build their settlement of Galadithilas
