Celebrendor
Silver Banks
Celebrendor was the first elvish cities founded in Eärmithalas. It was built on the banks of Rivendaloth, the river that flowed from the eastern mountains towards the sea. The city was built in a half circular pattern against the river banks, with a grand palace at its center where the ruling council of elders met to discuss matters of state. The streets were lined with tall, slender trees, and many of the houses were constructed of pale, shimmering stone that seemed to glow in the sunlight. Each home was surrounded by gardens and orchards, and some had small docks where boats could be moored.
Outside the city walls lay the sprawling farmlands that provided Celebrendor with its food and resources. These farms were tended by elvish families who were skilled in the arts of agriculture and animal husbandry. They grew a variety of crops, including wheat, barley, and grapes, and raised herds of cattle and sheep for meat and wool. The farmlands were also home to a few smaller settlements, where craftsmen and artisans produced a variety of goods for trade in the city. These settlements specialized in pottery, weaving, carpentry, and other trades.
Overall, Celebrendor was a bustling and prosperous city and was a hub of culture, learning, and trade. The city would eventually be reduced in importance when the Valaraith built their new capital of Lirionostarë
