The Kingdom of the Skywall
The Skywall is the last vestige of the Third Elven Empire. More an impenetrable fortress, The Skywall is said to tower so high, the King of Elves is said to be able to look down onto the clouds and observe the world below. It expands to cover a great deal of territory, being 300 miles long. The Elven Empires were typically ruled and highly populated by Sky Elves, who strove for ambitious gains in magical and cultural areas. Even today, scouts and curious nobles leave The Skywall behind in order to seek out interesting facts about the world abroad, in order to create and achieve beauty of higher degrees. Despite this everlasting wanderlust, those born in The Skywall always try to find their way home. It is believed the harshest punishment one can receive at the Skywall is exile, as many of the Sky Elves view being banned from seeing their King to be worse than death. Formal Skywall attire is extravagant, colorful, and to outsiders, downright gaudy. This is doubly so for their King, Nathair Ban, whose ceremonial robes are said to be nearly thirty pounds of cloth arranged in a manner such that it appears to give him wings. Some especially eccentric Skywall elves will turn into baelnorns to preserve their beauty forever.
Leadership
The Skywall elves are led by a king, generally referred to as The Resplendent One. Currently, that title is held by Nathair Ban. Nathair Ban ascended to the throne after his father, Eltair Ban, passed away. Eltair had commissioned a portrait of himself, which was painted so beautifully he had a heart attack on the spot and died.
