Dwarves

Dwarves are a race of mortal creatures on Tascallon made by the Neue Götter in their image. Dwarves, due to their somewhat artificial construction, are cut off from contact with the Aetheric Pathways, which prevent them from using magic through normal means. They are a stout, well built race known for talented fighters and inventors. As a whole, they are focused on improving the societies they live in without reliance on magical talent, though a select number have been known to modify their bodies or make deals with otherworldly entities to gain power. Dwarves live relatively long lives, averaging around 80 years for adults, and can live for up to 200 years. 
  Dwarven souls recycle through Wesselska's system, as the soul they carry has to refreshed and forced into a new body. This is different from how other souls work, as they typically dissipate back into the Pathways and are reformed as necessary. Their race is one of the youngest in terms of when they came into being, the only newer race being the Drakekin.
