þurisaz (Thur-ee-saz)
þurisaz is the Nordergott god of honor and willpower. He is the firstborn of Hangatyr's sons, and was granted the title of Storm Hammer. He is the progenitor of the Oveður Clan.
Though being the firstborn son, þurisaz's sense of free will and whimsy prevented him from wanting to lead his siblings in the defense of his father's body, relegating that role to AmaÞor instead. þurisaz, from an early age, commanded lightning and thunder, and used these skills to prove himself against the Dread Wolf's spawn in frequent battles. Arguably the strongest of the five sons, þurisaz often seeks challenges that stress the limits of his capabilities and expects similar things from his followers. His will is said to be indomitable, and he promotes this in his followers.
