Quinsho

God of the Air, Wind, Breath, Clouds, And lungs

A mostly passive god, Quinsho watches over the plains, and wherever else air is pure, and sends his people to spread his word, and potentially make polluted air clean again. While he is not a god of true peace, in his teachings, none should harm another, like the air on the wind, but whenever it is necessary, they should come down like a mighty tornado to protect those in need.

Divine Domains

Holy Books & Codes

No books were made by mortals, but were instead delivered on the wind by Quinsho himself, called the Shishu. They drifted down like feathers, landing near the 6 humans that Quinsho had chosen to deliver his teachings onto the world. The books themselves are bound in pure clouds, and its devoid of pages, as its words seemingly float where pages would normally rest. The 6 who were chosen were also gifted with the ability to read the holy books, as it was written in a language no mortal had ever seen up to that point.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

The holy symbol is that of a pendant, shaped like a stylized cloud, and in the middle of the cloud rests an X, in memory of Quinshos son, Xiaotun.

Tenets of Faith

The tenets of the Yusuizhe are to be respected and followed with the utmost attentiveness, as failure to do so could result in the deaths of people.
1)Do not raise a hand in wrath to any living creature, only in self defense and whenever it is absolutely necessary.
2)Do not knowingly allow death to come to a man at the hands of another man, or by your own hands.
3)Do not allow an animal to kill, or consume the flesh, of your fellow man.
4)Do not retaliate to hostility with hostility when it is unnecessary. Instead, turn the other way, and allow peace to conquer the day.
5)Turn your fellow man to your side, rather than allow them to be your enemy. If such a thing is impossible, then forgive them.
6)Do not allow greed to dissuade your judgement. Materials do nothing but harm, your soul is the only thing you need.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

His current goal is to redeem himself for the atrocities he allowed to occur, by spreading his teachings of forgiveness, and self-defense to those who don't already have the capability to do so.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Quinsho has existed since before the beginning of Taru, but had very little sway over many of the machinations of the things that went on, now did he want to, as the other gods did nothing but squabble and argue. So, instead, he created an alternative plain where he could create new things, and have a peaceful place for all beings, and thus made the Drifters realm. In this realm he created many things, such as birds, clouds, and air currents, all of which bled out onto the material plane of Taru, unknowingly making the realm of Taru inhabitable for the creatures that his siblings would soon make. But there was one thing that Quinsho made that never drifted out of his realm, whether due to fate, Quinshos will, or their intelligence~The Aarakocra, Quinshos proudest achievement. He had taken the birds he had made before, in all of their beauty, and made them in the image of the humans, Vicnors creation. After he had made his people, he then went to Chromus, and asked her to bless his children with the same sentience she had given to all of Vicnor and Ishmaars creations. Chromus agreed, but for a favor first; to spread his knowledge to humans, and be a part of Taru with the rest of them, as he is vital in keeping Taru alive, and birthing new knowledge.

Failures & Embarrassments

Quinsho hesitantly taught humans his ways, and they built monasteries to pray to him, and follow in the teachings he passed through the books he gifted upon them. He taught them of peace, and eloquence in music, and how to make incense. He taught them to never harm another creature, neither man, nor animals, regardless of the circumstances. Quinsho grew close to the humans, and other beings that began to follow him, and was happy with his decisions. This all unfortunately came to an end when his largest monastery in the west of Brotar was attacked, and everyone was brutally slaughtered, even his mortal son, Xiaotun, was not spared. When he learned that it was the Atatators of Ishmaar, he went into a blind rage, calling upon the forces of the wind to make a mighty tornado, which collided with the ocean, causing a disastrous hurricane, which wiped the monastery off of Brotar, and killing those who had killed his followers, and son. Filled with shame, and sorrow, he vowed to never let his people be so defenseless again, and from then on, he journeyed to each and every monastery on foot, in human form, and taught them all the way of the fleeting fist, so that they may defend themselves from any and all threats that might threaten to do them harm. From then on as well, he began journeying the lands in the form of a man, teaching those he comes across that are worthy to repent for his failures.

Personality Characteristics

Savvies & Ineptitudes

Being very good at martial arts, and the likes, Quinsho is also highly skilled in acrobatics, capable of jumping upwards of 15-20 ft. in his mortal form, and walking on narrow lines, impossible for anyone else. He isn't the physically strongest however, relying mostly on speed and technique to do what he needs in combat and whatnot.

Likes & Dislikes

Disliking hostility, or violence, Quinsho will generally withdraw if he is threatened, but will defend anyone who is incapable of defending themselves, whether they are evil or not is entirely irrelevant.

Virtues & Personality perks

Having a seemingly unlimited amount of patience, there are myths detailing Quinsho having an argument with Ishmaar for a full month, not allowing himself to become angered or flustered, even as Ishmaar insulted, threatened, and belittled him.

Vices & Personality flaws

Being in the position he is, Quinsho has never had a sense of urgency, not fully grasping the severity of most situations until it's far too late.

Personality Quirks

Quinsho in his mortal form was said to always be playing with a small pair of rocks, or marbles, which he spun around in the palm of his hand using a current of air.

Hygiene

Keeping himself clean, Quinsho generally smells like a breath of fresh air, not too dissimilar to the first breath upon waking up.

Quotes & Catchphrases
Like a leaf on the wind, mortals shall all perish. But while you do exist, you can alter the current of the wind you drift, and even those around you. Do not allow yourself to drift into a darkness, but instead drift into serenity, my son.~Quinsho to his son, Xiaotun.
