Koliv

Originally the richest, most prosperous and most powerful nation in all of Tarakom, Koliv was cursed to become a barren desert land.
  In the early times, Koliv was blessed and ruled over by the Goddess Akinara. The land was covered with many forests and the ground was rich with gold and silver. Great technological advancements came from Koliv, including the Great Artificer, who created the Eris race.
  However, the people betrayed Akinara and in her anger, she laid a curse upon them and their land. The rain stopped falling in Koliv. Part of the country to the north was watered by run-off rain coming from the Hundran highlands, but this land was captured by Hundran in time. The forests died and most of the animals fled the land. The people retreated underground and Akinara cursed them to have skin as black as the shadows they lived in, so that they would forever be marked by their betrayal.
