History of Taolas

The Raids on Archimima and surrounding areas were a detriment to the City of Archimima and the town of Prosperitas. Archimima was the main target of these raids and the bandit's end goal was to take the City. The Bandits were attacking travellers and caravans on the road, cutting off supply lines to both Archimima and Prosperitas. Many people were killed in the raids including the Guard Captain Tishiana.   Prosperitas was a secondary target as they had no real defences. Many of the townsfolk fled and left leading most people to believe the town was lost.   The Cadian Empire could not lend a hand as they were too busy with skirmishes with the Iron Hands near the border.   The Raids were ended when a defector revealed the bandits plans to the City Watch and collaborated in order to stop the attacks. the main bulk of the bandits were killed and or fled. The current whereabouts of the Leader are unknown.

The incident with the mimic in Archimima spans from the time the wizard Yogsanon bought and nurtured up a mimic to its death. The mimic swiftly began to grow beyond Yogsanon's control and developed sentience. An agreement was made with the mimic(s) and Yogsonan to erect a statue in the middle of town as a disguise. It was "developed" over the old well in the middle of town and would deposit its victims in the aquifer below. At first smaller animals and even dogs were devoured by the creature but it eventually started to eat travelers through town, with the help of Yogsanon. It never took anyone from town until one day it did, a child. The mayor sent out for aid in finding the missing kid and anyone else. Short after Trenric arrived and banded together with many of the townsfolk, discovered the truth, unraveled the mystery, and defeated the monsters. Yogsonan was confronted by the entire town and teleported away escaping.

The town of Prosperitas is freed of its curse. The town aged beyond rot and repair as the inhabitants remained ageless. The citizens needing a new home Trenric assisted in migrating the residents to Archimima. Archimima offered their services and expanded the town in order to accommodate the need for housing. Some of the younger folk offered their services to the guard and stay at the barracks. Others moved onto other cities and towns.
