The Dawn Accord

The Solarian Concord is a newly formed coalition of scholars, artificers, and reformists who believe Tanaria is standing on the brink of a new age—one shaped not by war or political dominance, but by the harnessing of celestial energy to free civilization from dependence on unstable magic and destructive industrial practices. Their manifesto, The Dawn Accord, was published in 501 HE and quickly spread through universities, artisan guilds, and skyship ports, stirring both inspiration and controversy.   The manifesto positions the Solarian Concord as visionaries to some and dangerous radicals to others. Industrial powers fear losing control over energy production, while certain magical orders distrust a movement that places faith in untested solar technologies. The Order of Arelian cautiously supports their vision but warns of reckless adoption. Still, their work on Sunwoven Crystals and the launch of the Solcaris skyship has made them impossible to ignore.   The Dawn Accord begins with a powerful declaration:   “We will not live in the shadows of the past.
We will rise with the light of a thousand dawns,
and we will build a future that burns not to destroy,
but to illuminate all.”

Purpose

The purpose of the Dawn Accord is to act as both a call to action and a blueprint for a new age of progress in Tanaria. The Solarian Concord seeks to dismantle reliance on unstable and exploitative energy systems—such as the control of leylines by political powers or the forced use of elemental labor—and replace them with celestial energy technologies that are accessible, sustainable, and empowering for all people.   At its heart, the manifesto aims to:
  • Inspire Innovation: Encourage artificers, scholars, and inventors to push beyond traditional magical methods and embrace solar and lunar energy as viable alternatives.
  • Promote Equality: Challenge the monopolization of magical resources by a few ruling factions, advocating for shared technology and open research.
  • Unify Nations: Position celestial energy as a neutral, divine resource that transcends borders, fostering cooperation rather than conflict.
  • Spiritual Renewal: Reinforce the idea that progress need not come at the cost of harmony with divine or natural forces; instead, it can strengthen humanity’s connection to them.
The Dawn Accord’s ultimate goal is not just to advance technology, but to reshape Tanaria into a society where energy no longer fuels war and oppression, but enlightenment and prosperity.
