Eryndor is often described as ageless, with sharp, angular features that betray no sign of weakness. His eyes glow faintly with arcane energy, a testament to the power coursing through his veins. He dresses in elegant robes woven with spell-thread and adorned with runic patterns that shimmer faintly in dim light. Wherever he walks, the air hums with restrained magic, and lesser mages instinctively avert their gaze in his presence.

Eryndor Valcorsis was born into the ruling bloodline of Valoria, a lineage steeped in arcane supremacy and divine favor. From a young age, he exhibited prodigious magical talent, mastering complex spells before other apprentices had even learned the basics. His early education was conducted under the most powerful magocrats of the Arcane Conclave, where he quickly surpassed his mentors in both skill and ambition.  

Early Life

Raised in the grand citadel of Valcorsis Keep, Eryndor was immersed in a culture that valued strength, intellect, and obedience to the divine mandate above all. His childhood was shaped by the rigid hierarchy of Valoria; he learned early that compassion was weakness and that power must be wielded without hesitation. The death of his mother, a priestess who guided his early faith, hardened him further, driving him to merge divine ritual with arcane mastery.  

Rise to Power

By his mid-thirties, Eryndor had already taken a seat in the Arcane Conclave, his presence marked by controversial reforms that strengthened Valoria’s control over its enslaved territories. He was instrumental in the development of new magical warfare doctrines, blending devastating spellcraft with military discipline. His strategies in the border skirmishes with Kalros cemented his reputation as both a brilliant tactician and a ruthless enforcer of Valorian dominance.   When his father, Archmagus Theron Valcorsis, mysteriously perished during an arcane ritual, Eryndor assumed leadership of the Conclave without contest. Many whispered that he orchestrated the event, though no evidence was ever found. Under his leadership, Valoria’s influence spread rapidly, and its mage-armies became feared across Zalhara and beyond.  

Reign as Archmagus

Eryndor’s rule is characterized by unyielding control. He strengthened the caste system, expanded magical research, and enforced strict regulations on arcane practice to prevent rival factions from rising. The divine omens interpreted under his authority have all favored his policies, further cementing his claim of divine endorsement. However, his reliance on oppressive measures has also fueled underground resistance movements within Valoria’s enslaved territories.

Archmagus Eryndor Valcorsis is driven by an unshakable belief in Valoria’s destiny to dominate through arcane and divine supremacy. He views the mastery of magic as the highest calling and believes that those who wield it are inherently superior to all others. To him, weakness—whether physical, moral, or magical—has no place in the order of the world.   At his core, Eryndor’s motivation can be distilled into three pillars:  

• Preservation of Power – He is determined to secure the Valcorsis bloodline’s control over Valoria for generations to come, ensuring no force—internal or external—can threaten their rule.
• Perfection through Magic – Eryndor sees magic not just as a tool but as the ultimate path to perfection. His research and policies reflect his obsession with pushing magical limits, even if it means sacrificing ethics or lives.
• Transcendence – Beyond ruling Valoria, Eryndor seeks to transcend mortality itself, to ascend as a being of pure arcane divinity. He believes only by achieving this state can he truly safeguard his kingdom and shape the world in his vision.

  While he cloaks these ambitions in the language of divine mandate and duty to Valoria, those closest to him suspect a deeper truth: Eryndor’s ultimate goal is not just to serve the gods, but to surpass them.

Though Eryndor already commands unmatched power, whispers suggest his ambitions stretch beyond mortal rule. Some believe he seeks to transcend mortality itself, ascending to a state where he would rival the gods. Others claim he is preparing a grand arcane ritual to bind Valoria’s destiny irrevocably to his bloodline, ensuring his family’s dominance for all time.

Eryndor’s network of influence extends far beyond Valoria’s borders:

• Arcane Conclave – His ruling council, composed of magocrats and religious leaders, both his allies and political rivals.
• The High Priesthood of Valoria – Religious authorities who publicly endorse his divine mandate, though some may harbor doubts in secret.
• Foreign Envoys – Maintains tenuous diplomatic relations with kingdoms that respect or fear Valoria’s magical might, including Eouma and certain Drakorian factions.
• Secret Cabals – Rumored connections to hidden societies of mages and planar entities, some whispering of deals with extraplanar powers to enhance his arcane supremacy.
• Bloodline Ties – The Valcorsis family maintains influence through marriage alliances with other noble houses, though Eryndor himself is known to avoid personal entanglements.

Eryndor’s wealth is immeasurable by mortal standards. As the ruler of Valoria and the inheritor of its founding bloodline:

• He commands vast treasuries filled with gold, enchanted artifacts, and rare magical resources extracted from enslaved territories.
• Owns multiple estates and arcane towers scattered across Valoria and its colonies.
• Controls trade routes for enchanted goods, allowing Valoria to dominate the magical economy of southern Zalhara.
• Possesses private vaults containing legendary relics and tomes, some said to predate the Calamity Era.
