Ragmar's Rebellion

Revolution

1356EE
1368EE

Angry orcs try to have an uprising against the empire that has conquered them fair square. The ingrates!

Shortly after Tiberius III ordered the expulsion of all orcs from Fortressia due to their riots (which may or may not have been partially the humans' fault as well), chief Ragmar decided to be offended for no reason, and united all the orcish tribes under the Lograk banner. This started a civil war that lasted approximately 12 years.   Many events took place during the war. Legate Brutus Lexius lost his ear, a big chunk of the Lightless Jungle was burnt to a crisp and many of the current centurions earned their promotions by killing orcs. Silverbr'eez built most of its fortifications during the war in a colossal effort to stay neutral.   In the end, the rebellion fell apart when Rugvaz, the chief's son, realized their cause was lost and urged his father to surrender. Being unwilling, Ragmar was slain by Rugvaz, who took his throne and called for a truce. Tiberius III, despite not wanting to accept it, was coerced by all his advisors to have peace at once. In other words, neither side was happy with how the war ended.
