Hardened Defenses
This Advantage can only apply to Gadgets.
During the design phase of Gadget creation, two specific components of the design could be written in either italics or ALL CAPITAL LETTERS in order to make the Gadget (a) Niftier! and also (b) More expensive!
When the name of the Gadget is written in all caps, that is a GADGET that can no longer be taken away in combat. It is connected somehow to the GADGET user. Opposing combatants, unable to confiscate the tool, might instead target it for direct damage.
The default expectation is that any Gadget or GADGET has a Body, which implies a Current Body Condition in the same way that any Character has. Any attack on that Gadget -- whether area of effect, part of a whole, or specifically targeting the Gadget above all else -- that earns any RAPs at all upon the Gadget's Body
creates a hole of at least 1 AP in size
within that Gadget. At minimum, that hole is large enough for a standard sized person to walk or climb through. If the Gadget was smaller than half a non-combatant person's body, the Gadget is now broken into at least two pieces. The pieces might continue to partially function, if the Current Body Stat was not reduced to 0 APs or less, but its Reliability Number temporarily rises by each AP of damage it takes.
Picture, for example, a NONDESCRIPT WHITE VAN. It cannot be taken away from its mysterious Trickshot-pursuing Enigmatic Agents in combat. However, it may be possible for the Knights Vigilant to break a hole in its side, thus revealing their purloined peer, long before the van takes too much damage to drive away.

.Only during the Design phase of Gadget creation,
the Gadgeteer may add +2 to the Factor Cost of the Gadget's Body Attribute only.
The Gadget is immune to the "1 RAP of Damage = 1 hole" Rule;
its Current Body Condition would have to be reduced to 0 APs, rendering the entire Gadget nonfunctional, in order to be able to reach through it or pass through it.

On the written design, and in the eventual Gadget description, "BODY" should be written in all capital letters to show that Hardened Defenses has been applied.
