The nine great druid circles

When the trees cry we hold their tears, when they scream we sooth their woes, when they die we speak their rites. - Kalon Miur of the Circle.
The Keepers of the sacred groves, the Circle of Severin are the last Druidic order left within Kalandorai. Said to have been formed from the fallen great circles of old and united by Severin of the Luendai elves the Circle of Severin is to the mortal races the same conduit that the Council of Leaves is to forests. When the Council of Leaves gathers on the steppes so to do the Circle. Though technically not the same meeting the two are often viewed as the combined council of the living world.   There were once nine great Circles of Druids scattered across the various continents of Everia. The Circles were as one, no matter color, creed or race, all that possessed the gifts granted by the Deities of Nature were welcomed with open arms.   The nine great circles were as follows.   Circle of Madia: A group of dwarven druids that maintained the Forest of Sargoth deep below the mountains of the Daggermaw. Madia means Mushroom in the old dwarven tongue and this is very much the forest the Circle guarded and maintained. Much of the medicines of today have foundation in the books and scribbling of the Madia druids. They created medicines and also experimented with a huge range of subterranean fungus finding everything from calmative serums to hallucinogenic tinctures. Meticulous cataloging and great care of their library system allowed the Horath Assembly to find cures for many of the plagues that plague the world even today.   Circle of Arzu: The Circle of Arzu was always filled by exactly twelve Tabaxi monks turned druids. The members were also exclusively chosen from the vicious warlike Fist of Tarkor that worship the great cat god. The legends tell that the chosen were those that after years of service turned to peace to balance their souls before passing on.   Circle of Kamir: The great circle of creation was located in the Ajamerei, The Bright Wood. Predominately comprised of elven druids as well as clerics the Kamir were healers of all, wood and mortal alike.   Circle of Lamir: The great circle of Destruction. When people think about druidic orders they always perceive them to be about nurturing the kingdom of nature. Few think of the death, detritus and rot that are also so very necessary in the cycle of life. The elves of the Circle of Lamir made a life of studying the falling leaves and dying world so that we could all understand the cycle of Life and Death.   Circle of Caliea: The circle of beauty or more commonly just called the Circle of Flowers, the Caliea were tasked with the gathering of seed and pods from all over the world. The great seed bank of Caliea is believed to be hidden away safely within the mountains that adjoin the Kalandorai and the nation of Goryania to the west. Its exact location is a secret that only the Wootenforged now know. Even the Circle of Severin has no known way to access this information.   Circle of Tayrosar: Blessed are the souls that live under the light of Tayrosar. The Circle of Tayrosar was the most religiously motivated of the circles. They were the circle that made certain the rites of the moon and sun, the holiday offerings to the great guardians, etc were followed by as many mortals as possible. They were a group of itinerant wanderers that spread the word of Aja, Patron Natura to the four corners of the world, spreading the word like winds carrying pollen.   Circle of Enarii: Dressed in the regalia of their Circle and proudly standing to the left of every throne across the continent, the Enarii were the financiers of the Druidic Circles. A proud and honorable race. The Enarii were not just a circle but a race of beings that believed in each of them the spark of a god resided. This belief was further enforced by the extraordinarily long life spans they lived. Many old texts talk of Enarii that served ten to fifteen generations of a royal family.   Circle of Gyti/Circle of Tayliq: The Circle of Gyti as with the Circle of Tayliq have no recorded written history and as such all, we know of them is that that has whispered on the wind of stories told from father to son, mother to daughter. The great Gyti and Tayliq Circles we know came from the deep south. Deep in the deserts of the southern wastes, they controlled the lifeblood, the waters that maintained mortals and beasts alike. Something happened and the waters dried and the desert folk all but perished. We do know this was long before the coming of the The Kingdom of Nawtia Notes.
