Personal history
Ripped from his parents as a newborn by Duergothoth, Yorick was raised by the Vassal-Governess to rule with an iron fist. Though fortunately, with the influence of Miron Broadborn, Yorick was able to see through the rule of the Creeping Doom and the Dragon-Empire. Finally appointed to his station as Regent at age 15, he ruled under the direction of Duergothoth until he was 19: just before the Vassal-Governor would impart the Blessing of Dragon's Blood to their Regent at age 20. It is then, mere months before he was to be transformed, that the Seekers of the Golden Grain would come to Ashguard and slay Duergothoth; freeing Ashguard from tyranny, and Yorick from his transformation.
Since then, Yorick has led Ashguard graciously and with great wisdom. He has the heart of the people.
After the Thieves Campaign: Yorick felt personally responsible for the deaths caused by his former Speaker, Chad Embergaze, as he chose not to heed the warnings of Gerwas Olbrich to keep Chad at arms-distance. 4 months after the Assassin's Guild Killings, after Yorick had done all he could to ease the hearts and calm the fears of his people, Yorick announced that he would not be running for Regent again, and that he assumes all the blame for the tragedies caused by the former Speaker. Still wishing to atone all he could for his mistakes, Yorick would go on to serve as a member in the House of Regents under the administration of Regent Isak Andel. In this function he would continue to help the Thieve's Guild, never revealing their existence to the new Regent.
In the year 36 YH, Yorick's eldest daughter, Senua, was elected to be the third Regent of Tycheron. After assisting his daughter in her first year as Regent, Yorick Voldren stepped down from politics and retired to the family estate.
