The Book of Radiance

The Book of Radiance was created in order to record the lives, deeds, and lessons of the most significant figures of the faith (such as the Saints), and to codify the core tenets of the faith.

The Book of Radiance draws from the records and accounts of significant figures associatted with the faith, as well as old texts tied to the precursor faith known as the Way of the Light.

The Book of Radiance is widely available to the clergy of the Radiant Church.

The creation of the Book of Radiance is closely tied to the old Human faiths of Imera collectively known as the Way of the Light, and is believed to have initially been created in an attempt to bring these disparate yet similar faiths together into an organised faith.

The history of the Book of Radiance is intrinsically tied to the history of the Radiant Church itself. In the old days, the Humans of Imera followed a number of separate faiths tied to the Elari of Light, Archaiel, collectively referred to by scholars as the Way of the Light. Eventually, Aione, the future founder of the Church, would begin the process of bringing these disparate belief systems together as a singular faith as a part of her mission to bring together the scattered tribes of humaity, creating the first copy of the Book of Radiance as a repository for storing their collected knowledge. In the years since her passing, this tome would be instrumental in the efforts of the newly established church to spread throughout Imera, it's contents expanding alongside its influence, and while many copies have been made and spread since, the original tome is held with especially high reverance for it's role in the churches birth.

The Book of Radiance is held as the most sacred text of the Radiant Church, constantly referred to by the clergy of the church, and known by heart by its most senior members.
