Ortaqil (Ohr-tah-kill)
Also known among non-native speakers as "Common Draconic", Ortaqil (commonly translated as "the Common Tongue") is the most widespread language spoken by the Drakai. First established by what would become the Drayeth cultural group, Ortaqil is the lingua franca of the nation of Dranya, and is even spoken by the Drakai of the Varshai group further beyond.
Writing System
The writing system of Ortaqil is similar to the writing system of Izarum, though it uses individual letters as oppposed to symbols, and is written in a smoother script.
Geographical Distribution
Ortaqil is widely spoken throught Dranya, though it can also be heard anyplace where Drakai belonging to the Varshai group have established their communities.
Vocabulary
Ortaqil has many "hard" sounds in its vocabulary, though there are some "soft" sounds as well.
