Mark0 Summer Camp Reading Challenge 2025
This years Summer Camp proved to be a bit more hectic than usual, but I still had a lot of fun with this (I even managed to surpass my goal of reaching silver in my Summer Camp 2025 Pledge & Homework!). This has been a great creative exercise, and it's allowed me to flesh out parts of my world I haven't focused on before (I will be going back to flesh some of them out further in the future). I've also had a chance to see some fantastic new worlds I haven't seen before! A short list of some of my favourite articles from this Summer Camp:
I've got a lot of ideas I want to try and work on, and a lot of preperation for this years Worldember ahead of me, and I'm very excited to begin with it!
- Pumpkin Breadby strixxline. I enjoyed the cozy vibe of the article, especially since it reminded me of a family recipe I'm fond of.
- Dreadnoughtsby Jontaro. I thought it was an interesting take on a familiar monster, and the extra RPG details on tactics and loot were a nice touch as well.
- Thread Driveby JaxonLeeRose. I've always enjoyed sci-fi as well as fantasy, and I thought this was an interesting take on the typical "warp drive" you often see in such settings.
- Pothos Planeby Wordigirl. A short and sweet article with an interesting hook for further exploration.
- Ridgfordby Nulcheck. It was very interesting reading about this small town with such an interesting legacy behind it.
- Feral Bloomby Valcin. I found it interesting reading about the different ways this condition manifests itself among different people.
- Gnome Boat Warby Dazzlinkat. It was quite interesting reading about a "war" that didn't involve any actual military conflict, and the story attached to it was interesting to read too.
- The Feast of the Immortalsby Rashkavar. I was fascinated not only by the role this feast played among the gods, but also the possible connection it has to the creation of the Elves.
- Sunfire Loafby Make lore, not war. I enjoyed the cozy vibe of this article, and the attached recipe was a nice touch too.
- On the Nature of Alchemyby Evendawn. I enjoyed reading about their take on an often overlooked part of fantasy, as well as how it influences the cosmology of the setting.

Thanks for including my article! (I'm really enjoying pretending that I hadn't been planning to finish writing it at all...)
No problem!
