Summer Camp 2025 Pledge & Homework

While some personal matters are going to be keeping me pretty busy this summer, I'm still going to try and go for at least silver or gold.

Regarding the theme of nourishment, I might take this as a chance to explore the culinary side of my setting, particularly taverns and meals, though I could also use this as a chance to build out the spirituality of my setting as well (spiritual nurishment, anyone?).

Week 2: Regarding roots, this would be an interesting aspect to focus on, from ancient cultures, to historic landmarks, to creation myths.

Week 3: Metamorphosis, now this should be fun. Should be a good opportunity to flesh out my worlds take on werebeasts and vampires, but the societal aspect (like the Dwarves and the evolution of their society) should be a fun creative exercise.
Update 06/16/2025: Most of my work is focused around Sword and Sorcery High Fantasy, but I've been becoming more fascinated with more intrigue focused stories, like heists or spycraft, mostly for the focus on specialists using their skills to deal with seemingly insurmountable situations. Considering I've got at least one thieves guild fleshed out in my setting, that might provide some opportunities for such stories in my setting.

Week 4: While I haven't focused much on this aspect of my worldbuilding prior to this challenge, there are a few elements that tie into the theme of "tomorrow". The world is experiencing the beginnings of an industrial age powered by Aether-fueled mechanisms, with a few engineering guilds already having sprung up alongside it, some ambitious individuals are making plans to launch expeditions to explore the continents of Aesuth, the land of the Giants, and Kireth, the mythic "Dragonlands", and the nation of Dranya is at a crossroads following their defeat during the Dragonscourge over two centuries prior.
Update 06/22/2025: My office is well prepared for the challenge to come, and I have some friends I can bounce some ideas off of.
