History

Dust was discovered by the human settlers of Northern Tolesh less than 200 years ago. Some primitive civilizations have ceremonies using Dust, but they lack the ability to refine it, and use it in a fairly raw state. Due to it's addictive nature, and unpredictability most current civilizations have outlawed it's use.

Discovery

Several primitive civilizations along the western edge of the Riddari and the West Arm have known about dust for ages. Modern civilizations have only been exposed to it for 200 or so years, when miners in The Pit discovered it. Around 100 years ago a method of extracting and refining it were developed and since then the illegal trade has been steadily growing.
