Skycradle

How was the skycradle invented?

Probably more than one valturo can be credited with the creation of the skycradle, because it is so simple. It is made from two parts. One part is the puffets that lift the skycradles, and the other is a cart or wagon-like structure where the wheels are replaced with the puffets. The skycradle is basically a flying cart.

What is it used for?

The skycradle is an evolving technology, so there is always something new every year. Smaller skycradles are used by the populace to transport heavier objects, although for daily use, one or two puffets are usually enough. The heavier usage of the skycradle is by the dealers. They can move much of their ware with ease. Even though transporting vast amounts of items is still done by vangola caravans, skycradles can be used between nests close to each other or from the vangola caravans to the shops.
Of course, the skycradles are also used by the valturo army. It revolutionized the tactics and strategies of the valturo and created their first air force, called the Skyward Guards. They can scout from the safety of the skycradles, take spare weapons with them, and in case of injuries, the injured can be placed inside a skycradle and moved home safely and quickly.

How to use a skycradle?

The only disadvantage of the skycradles is that they can’t stir the skycradles, because the puffets fly wherever the wind blows them. And unfortunately, the valturo doesn’t have any sky beasts they can use to pull the skycradles. The only thing the valturo can do is to draw their skycradles by themselves. However, this isn’t as hard as pulling a wagon. It is relatively easy to fly with a skycradle after the initial start.
The landing is also a tricky part. Because there is no way to inflate the puffets on the road, the valturo can’t vent the topair from the puffets. They carry a lot of sacks with them, filling them with stones and earth from the ground below to make the skycradles heavier when they want to descend and land.
I want one of those flying wagons. It will increase our productivity tenfold
