Perch of Breath

The origin of the building

Its origin dates back to the life of the valturo, to a special event when they left their ancestral home, the Eyrie, and arrived at their current home, the Cutter. Their great migration spanned a substantial portion of the Itk'reth continent, the sea between Ith'reth and Gibora, and they flew over the entirety of Gibora. Finally, they took the most significant hurdle over the ocean between Gibora and the Cutter. It was a challenging flight. Many of them didn't make it at all, either by giving up and stopping on the way or perishing during the flight. Previously, none of the valturo had taken such a long flight except the Divine Scavenger. They didn't even have words for it in their language. But during the flight, they started to use a figure of speech for all the places where they stopped for rest. And this was the perch of breath.

Current resting places, buildings

Although in the Cutter there are numerous places where the valturo can rest during a longer flight, such as on a tree or the cliffs, they have started to build specialized buildings between nests. The distance between these buildings is roughly a day's flight. In their function, they are similar to those inns and taverns on Gibora that are roughly riding distance from each other. However, this infrastructure is not as advanced for the valturo, but one by one, the perches started to connect the nests to make travel easier.

How they look like?

Almost every perch looks different. Their appearance depends on the material they can be built from, where they can be placed, and the preferences of the nests the perches connect to. Some perches are reinforced trees. At other places, the valturo digs long and strong poles into the ground and puts a bar across the top. Wherever possible, they use the Cutter itself and convert big boulders into resting places. And finally, a couple of entrepreneurial valturo started to build small nests where they can serve food and water to travelers. Similar to the inns and taverns on Gibora.
I know, I know. They've just started to build this infrastructure. But they could really use some expert help
