Moskal's Demons
Basic Information
Growth Rate & Stages
Birth.
Children are given life by the goddess Lolth through the touch of her willing Priestess Yeva Moskal. To make the water spiders, for example, Yeva took the body of a young Faun that had been captured and brought to her by one of her dark-Elf servants. With a touch and a prayer, the young faun was consumed by a chrysalis of webbing. At this stage, Yeva used various material components to alter the makeup of the result. This step is very important because if she performs the magic wrong, the body is wasted and the experiment will fail. This is the outcome for most of the experiments, except the ones she deems to be worthy. Once the material components are added, the webbing is pulled back to reveal the result. In the case of the Water Spiders, there were 4 fleshy eggs. If the experiment is successful, Yeva moves them to the Nursery, a two-story room that the babies stay in for their first 5 years. The lower half is completely webbed, and the eggs rest safely there until they hatch. The web is watched over by a maternal Drider, who watches over the infants as the sleep and grow in their first years. The drider also feeds the children, supplying them with fresh munchies once they’re old enough to eat At around the 3 or 4 year mark the babies first open their eyes and begin to traverse the web on their own. This is when they are moved up to the second floor, where they alternately play with small spiders and sleep curled up in webbing.Childhood.
At around 5 or 6, the children are moved out of the comfort of the Nursery and are taught to be strong and disciplined. They explore the dangerous tunnels and caverns surrounding the Spider's nest, developing their strength and agility. They sleep curled next to each other in a giant web they learn to traverse and feel at at young age. The ones who are talented at magic are taught by yeva to hone their skills from the Goddess. Those who are strong fighters practice on each other and the steady supply of innocent captives from the surrounding areas, taken by teams of Dark Elves and some older demons. The inventors tinker with death machines and weapons. Those who show themselves to be untalented or weak are made examples to the rest, punishments are harsh, and inobedience means being thrown in the slave cages. The children are not to leave the nest until they become strong, until Yeva knows that they are utterly, unquestioningly devoted. Only then are they let loose to do Lolth's bidding.Adolesence
