Arcstones

The Arcstones are an inextinguishable source of primordial energy that fueled the growth of The Free Cities for centuries. Harnessing their immense power, the cities have been able to create powerful magic artifacts and accomplish great deeds, shaping the course of history.

Six of the seven Arcstones were destroyed in the events of The Shattering during The Great War at the hands of Archon Krux, The Harbinger of Ruin plunging the world into an Age of Darkness™ .

To this day the origins of the Arcstones remain shrouded in myth and mystery.

Origins

The origin of the Arcstones is uncertain and has been subject to a vast array of myths and legends. The stones have played a central role in the shaping of all major religions and are seen by most as holy artifacts, or even deities . Many believe them to be the remains of gods, who gave themselves fully to the creation of the universe, others claim them to be gifts, given freely to men in reward for their toil during The Age of Flame. These diverging views have polarized opinions on how the stones should be used and cared for, a point of conflict from which countless struggles have sprung.
