Fallen Empires: the Old Ziberian Empire
Major Human tribes of the old Terrigoth Continent who came under imperial rule
Taldian Tribes
A widespread group of tribes who lived predominantly in Paladius and the Talroch Islands. Their culture is known for being influenced by nature, veneration of their druidic priestly caste and closeness to the fey and use of magic.
Serualian Tribes Ancestors of the serrousians and a number of cultures lost during the Landshatter this group is very similar to the Taladians though with less of a focus on magic and more on trade and warfare.
Degharic Tribes Ancestors of the Modern Degaraians and Vistaghast people, the Degharic tribes were often considered among the most aggressive and brutal of the Terrigoths Tribes by the old Empires.
The Rusvala Tribes Folk of the North East the Rusvala are the ancestors of Rusvarians and Zophorians, though during the days of the old Empires the Rusvala were regarded as among the most primitive and backwards of the barbarians of the North.
Other Ziberian Tribes Many other tribes who shared Ziberian Culture were also living in the southern Terrigoth and its islands some of which happily joined the empires others who had to be swayed by military force.
Non-Human Relations in the Ziberian Empire Ziberia has always treated non-humans with the same degree of respect it does its human population. Citizenship and rights have to be earned and for many non-humans native to Ziberia this was difficult until the legion reformation gave them the ability to serve and earn land. Among the Empires Native population Centaurs, Fey-kin (mostly Satyr, Nymphs and Faun kin) were most common with giant kin being uncommon but not unheard of. Among the slave caste and forming auxiliaries on rare occasion (Mostly from Onikos, and mostly as throw away forces) One could find goblinoids who the Onikoans had enslaved and forced to work the most dangerous mines. Goblinoids who had long been a foe of the people of Onikos and subdued with the aid of Exandor held a place lower than any other slave and more akin to animals. The people of Onikos have never forgotten the evils done to them by goblin kind nor the feral goblins that lurk in dark places of their homeland. Thus it was that goblins were treated like animals more than slaves. In the Area many large and powerful humanoid and monstrous races were kept as slaves, often owned by the state or Gladiator schools these monsters of the arena gained a certain degree of fame and notoriety, at least one Hill Giant gladiator named Haemoor of Kyrosa became so famous and beloved he earned citizenship and signed on to serve the legion for the rest of his long and decorated military Career.
