Star Swarm Corp
The Star Swarm is a collective of space mercenaries working for the sapient comet known as Llelas. The sentient bacteria that has been enveloping a comet for a millennia, so now that they are one and the same to be exact. Llelas usually picks it corp members by saving them, finding some lost soul in space and bringing them in its atmosphere. They choose willingly of course, and when they do they have to swallow a piece of LLelas. This how they become a part of the swarm, and gives access to its abilities.
Llelas isn't exactly completely altruistic however, he helps others as long as they give him a trade in return. It renews its power and strength from the happiness of its clients. To get the aid of the swarm the client must be willing to trade what is most precious for them. After the job is completed a member of the swarm will collect the payment.
The abilities that swarm are given are breathing in space, asteroid skin armor capable of withstanding intense heat and damage, and malleable weapon formation only limited by their connection to the swarm. The stronger your connection to the swarm, the stronger your weapons but the less free will and personality you have. To be the strongest of the swarm is to lose yourself in it, and to just be an extension of LLelas.
