Personal history
When Power Gem was younger, and he had just come into possession of the gem, he had people coming after it. He had barely started a career in heroics, and honestly hadn't fully conquered his own problems with the gem. So he felt overwhelmed and ran away, his shame is what pushed him to master his power. But it wasn't enough for him to go back home to India, he now protects Canada as best he can.
Now he's apart of the Canadian vanguard of heroes, the gem has bent to his will and he's come into his own over the years. Though throughout his time, he's felt a certain pull back home. Not him personally but the gem, it's given some sensory warning over the years that he's ignored. He's to focused on protecting his home and training his sidekick, Sabre.
