Septimus was the quieter of the two between him and his sister. But no less troublesome, he loved working his magic behind the scenes while his sister charmed people. When he saw her doing that smile, it was pretty much his cue to distract someone. That smile worked on him to, he knew his sister was smarter than him and it was best just to listen to her.
When they found a cottage in the middle of the woods, on one of their many excursions. They found a large cauldron which they could not stop themselves from drinking from. It gave insane powers to each of them before they were rudely interrupted by a witch, who his sister somehow managed to kill. That show of brilliant violence encouraged Septimus to show what he was made of, becoming a witch hunter which he adored. It was a pure game to him, a fun challenge to spend his day on.
They were showered with gifts by people who the witches had plagued. They were celebrated and he loved the praise, but it barely scratched the surface of what he felt go after witches. Thats why he went after the heroic witches as well, everyone was fair game. Throughout the years they passed, they watched as more supers popped up and he wanted to take them on as well. But his sister relented, until they would join the group Pantheon, who gave them free reign as long as they helped further their goals.
