Personal history
Ansel grew up in Los Angeles with his mom and dad, and was named after great his uncle who was german. He knew some people in his family had powers from the Nola Gene, but he never got any. Besides everyone in his family had low level powers that weren't really suited for anything other than parlor tricks. While he was sitting outside one day his neighbor had came outside waiting for someone. He looked like he was going out and Ansel was going to start joking with him about it until a car pulled up real fast. Two guys hopped out with bandannas on their faces with guns on his neighbor. Ansel got nervous and looked both of the men in the eye before they shot.
But they froze, both of them never moved. Everyone who was screaming and running stopped and stared. His neighbor slowly walked to his car and drove off. The getaway driver was yelling at the two to move as they stood there. When Ansel calmed down and took a breath the guns finally went off. They were surprised the neighbor was gone and took off running. Only Ansel knew what had just happened.
He just thought it was cool he had powers now, but when he found out two other friends had powers they decided to become heroes.
