Guardian Gaunt

- Origin: He was one of the first to die trying to cross the Cursed mountain, somewhere in what is now Russia. He and a group of commoners from his village were paid to lead, and protect a rich farmer that was headed through the mountain. A snowstorm blew in and left them trapped for days. The commoners began eating the dead, and soon after turned on each other. All except one, who protected the merchant until the snow subsided. Weeks passed as they starved, nothing but skin and bone. The commoner fought off the others from his village, the entire time. Barely sleeping to ensure the farmer was kept safe. The commoner felt he had a duty to protect the person who'd done them no wrong. He outlasted the others until finally it was safe to leave. The commoner never made it back down the mountain, but the merchant had paid a handsome sum for his body to be retrieved. The merchant had a full burial for the commoner, and had him buried in his own families armor. That commoner would arise again as the Gaunt Guardian.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
The Gaunt Guardian looks malnourished, his skin grey and his arms weak and lacking muscles. His entire body just skin and bone. But he is very strong, and durable enough to take deafening blows and maybe immortal.
Facial Features
Eyes and cheeks both sunken in. His face covered in as much wrinkles as the skin can handle.
Special abilities
- Strength - Guardian Gaunt was brought back with incredible strength.
- Blessed Armor - His armor is extremely durable and will only falter if his morality falters.
- Immortality - If he ever perishes as long as he buried on the Cursed Mountain he will come back to life.
Apparel & Accessories
He wears old knightly armor that was bestowed upon him after death in commendation for his valiant efforts. The armor has gained some supernatural effects and durability.

Personal history
After he awoke, the Gaunt Guardian spent years shepherding lost travelers across the cursed mountain to safety. He would only come down when a large threat posed a problem for the locals. He became a folk hero who most didn't think was real, until modern times when heroes and villains emerged. This is when he had to take a more permanent role in the public eyes, as more problems kept presenting themselves that normal people could not handle.
