Linkari
Linkari is loosely translated from the Elven tongue as Bridge Folk, with the Linkari acting as a bridge between the two oldest mortal races Humans and Elves. They are considered a distinct ancestry from Elves and Humans, with many that have generations of Linkari ancestry. Linkari must walk a line between the two societies. Humans sometimes see Linkari as nearly Elves, and were treated as such. However the Elves were often worse, banishing Linkari from their realms was common and attributing the slur Laiverta, or ‘Thin Blood’. With the fall of the Three Realms, the views of the Elves towards Linkari have softened a bit. Linkari make up a good amount of those dedicated to the cause of Sir’Va’Lonn and seek to connect with the Elven part of their heritage. Under the Divine hand cosmology, Linkari are not recongized though both Humans and Elves are among the Five Races. Linkari traditionally live longer than Humans but shorter than Elves, usually between 100-200 years, but some have been known to live nearly 250 years.
Playing a Linkari
Standing at the crossroads between Elven and Human heritage, Linkari embody a unique blend of cultures, though often belong to neither. Historically aligning more with their Human side due to Elven rejection, recent shifts in Elven attitudes have led some Linkari to embrace their Elven roots. Known for their independence and diplomatic skills, a Linkari against type might be socially awkward, or deeply immersed in Elven culture, identifying more with their Elven lineage.Basic Information
