Howlett House

Summary

The Howletts were a later arrival to Bailen, in the post-Canal period. They came from significant money and landed in Bailen with a lot of industrial know-how. They were outmaneuvered in the Dobby Affair and ended up missing a lot of political power, but they remained wealthy and connected. They are basically a machinist family, and are responsible for a lot of the repairs of critical factory elements on Bailen. The family is known for being split between very boring, very patient conservative industrialists, and flighty ambitious ne'er-do-wells who waste family wealth.
