Line branch is the main branch of the navy and is responsible for the operation, resourcing and training of the Crew and Command staff of the Navy´s Vessels. further it also develops and sets the requirements for ship-design and all subsystems. Due to its wide set of responsibilities it has a subset of schools and commands for each of the specialities on a ship. such as Officers School, Engineering Command Etc.
Fleet Flight Arm (FFA) is responsible for development and doctrine of the Navys small-crafts and sub systems. further it is also responsible for the training of all Pilots and Support staff for the operations of small-crafts from imperial ships and installations.
Marine Commando Arm (MCA) develops the training and doctrine for all the Naval Infantry and Security personnel. as well as define requirements and development of any specialist equipment that may be required. for weapons and other equipment the marine commandos need, the Marine Commando Arm looks to the Imperial Dominion Army Infantry and Commando Branch's.

Public Agenda
Sovereignty and Security: The primary goal of the Imperial Dominion Navy is to safeguard the sovereignty and security of the Dominion's territories and interests. This includes protecting Dominion space from external threats, maintaining control over vital trade routes, and deterring potential adversaries from challenging Dominion authority.
Power Projection: The Navy is tasked with projecting Imperial power across the cosmos, demonstrating the Dominion's strength and resolve to both allies and potential adversaries. This involves maintaining a visible presence in strategic regions, conducting joint exercises with allied navies, and participating in peacekeeping operations as needed.
Interstellar Stability: The Navy plays a crucial role in promoting interstellar stability by upholding law and order, preventing piracy and illegal activities, and mediating disputes between Dominion member worlds. By ensuring a stable and secure environment, the Navy contributes to the prosperity and well-being of the Dominion and its citizens.
Assets
Imperial Naval doctrine is centered on power projection, both to enforce Dominion sovereignty and extend its influence beyond its borders. To achieve this, the Navy operates standardized warships built for rapid deployment and sustained combat operations. All Dominion warships adhere to a baseline requirement of Jump-4 and Thrust-6, ensuring strategic mobility and fleet superiority.
Dominion vessels are deployed in Task Groups, each assigned a specific operational objective. Among the Standing Naval Tasks, the most common is Patrol and Surveillance, ensuring security, deterring adversaries, and maintaining a constant military presence across key sectors. For expeditionary and strike operations, Task Groups are often centered around a Strike Carrier, forming Strike Groups capable of deep-space incursions, planetary assaults, and large-scale fleet engagements.
Beyond its primary combat vessels, the Dominion Navy also relies on specialized support ships to fulfill key operational roles. such as Troop transports, essential for planetary warfare. Support ships operate under modified parameters to maximize cargo capacity and operational range. These vessels prioritize Jump-3 capability for strategic reach and reduced thrust requirements, allowing for increased troop and equipment storage.
Ships
Strike Carrier: Named after mythical flying creatures, the only carrier currently in service with the Dominion Navy is the Manticore-Class, including vessels such as Manticore, Wyvern, and Gryphon. Cruiser: Named after star systems within Dominion sovereign space. The modern Apollo-Class has become the Navy’s primary cruiser, with ships like Apollo, Eos, and Polympus. While some older Perseus-Class cruisers remain in service, most have been mothballed and largely replaced by the Apollo-Class. Destroyer: Named after mythological figures. The Medusa-Class is the sole destroyer currently in active service, featuring ships such as Medusa, Hercules, Morrigan, and Achilles. It has fully replaced the aging Sydkai-Class Frontier Destroyer, which has been phased out of frontline service. Frigate: Named after martial qualities, including ships like Fierce, Dauntless, Resolute, Stalwart, Intrepid, Valiant, and Brave. The Dominion Navy currently fields two frigate types: the venerable Ganesha-Class and the modern Fierce-Class. Plans are in place to fully replace all remaining Ganesha-Class frigates with the Fierce-ClassSupport Ships
Venters-Class Assault Ship: Dedicated planetary assault vessel designed to land directly on hostile worlds and deploy troops and equipment in combat zones.Fierce-Class
