The Bathhouse
A personal project of Killian D'Augustine, the current bathhouse is a basic structure to allow travelers (or even local townsfolk) an opportunity to wash off the dust from the road in a manner more comfortable than wet cloths or jumping into a freshwater pool.
Design
A medium sized hut with sliding doors that open to The Courtyard. There is a stone aquaduct that supports the pipeline from the nearby Saljac Hot Springs, feeding hot water to the structure and to the tavern's kitchen. Inside there is a large wooden tub with wooden stepladder for entry and exit; inside of the tub there are small benches to allow visitors to sit and relax in the hot water. The interior is lit using wall sconces for candles as well as ventelation slits on the upper walls during the daytime. The floor is made of pourous stone slabs that allow spilled water to drain away and smooth flagstones pulled from the river.
Contents & Furnishings
The tub is made of waterproof and varnished wood, and while perfectly hygenic it is nothing luxurious by the standards of cities in the inner kingdoms. It can comfortably fit two moderate-sized mortals if they are amicable towards communal bathing, with three or four able to fit if they are on the smaller end of expected mortal size. Next to the tub is a table for holding drinks or food, to be kept within reach of anyone bathing.
On the wall where the hot water pipe is positioned there are shelves and cubicles for holding personal posessions of bathers and clean towels for drying off.
