Dhal
The continent of Dhal is a large landmass situated primarily within the southern hemsphere of the planet. The northern portion is primarily tropical with the equater located ~1200 miles inland from the northern-most point. It plays host to a variety of sapient species, with a long history of conflict and peace for various reasons.
Currently there are three major political alliances on the continent, with a variety of minor independent ethnic states existing in various diplomatic treaties with the major blocs. Beyond the accepted borders set by the alliances and ethnic states roughly 35% of the continent remains unclaimed. In some cases these are designated buffer regions set to cease past military conflicts, in others they are regions that contain dangers that no individual state can commit the resources to taming.
