The "Ember Hypothesis" is the name given to phenomenon of Human Espers often developing their abilities to be somewhere in the realm of fire. The reasoning is unclear, but one widely believed hypothesis is the cultural significance that humanity places of fire and it's properties as a symbol of protection, health, and comfort.
