Pah'non Stennerot
In comparison to the Lakre Stennerot, Pah'non Stennerot are far fewer in number. Current census information, as it can be found publicly, places them as less than 5% of the population. The name comes from the same concept as the Lakre, for the name of the the ceremonial charcoal that they use to draw ceremonial symbols upon themselves in a very striking fashion.
While we know now that this is likely a benign mutation that grew to prominence, for much of Stennerot history the Pah'non were treated as "spiritually active", in comparison to the Lakre, thus explaining their differences in pigmentation to their ancient thoughts. While in most other physical metrics the Pah'non are the the same as their Lakre siblings, there is another notable difference between the two.
The Pah'non are more Espers than not, and are well known for the strength of their abilities, even from birth.
When the discovery of genetics happened within the species, it caused quite the schism within their beliefs as people began to come to the realization that they had functionally been practicing eugenics on a small sliver of their population, as well as explaining the statistically high Esper strength.
From there, the conversation devolved into a debate on whether the process should be stopped, or if even higher heights could be reached if they now did it with concerted effort.
