Bloodstalker
"Amid the unforgiving, frozen expanse of Medalla, nature itself harbors a cruel twist of fate. Those who collapse under the relentless assault of the cold are not always granted the mercy of release. Instead, some become hosts to a chilling and ancient curse: a viral affliction known as Vampirism. This sinister virus lies dormant in the icy winds of Medalla, awaiting the moment when a human body reaches the brink of hypothermia. In this vulnerable state, the virus activates, transforming the individual into something no longer fully human. The afflicted are cursed with an insatiable hunger for blood, the only sustenance their altered bodies can accept. Their personalities are warped by heightened aggression, primal instincts overtaking the minds and souls they once knew. Those stricken by Vampirism live a tortured existence, forever marked by the cold that first claimed them and the thirst that defines their cursed survival."
The Bloodstalker is a cursed predator with a gnarly virus. They drain life through blood siphoning bites and can heal themselves by feeding on others. Their dark blood magic also allows them to shapeshift into predatory animal forms, each with unique movement and combat benefits. The Bloodstalker excels at sustain combat, mobility, and relentless pursuit of prey. They must feed on blood in order to heal, and cannot be healed with medicine or magic. You may bite and feed as many times as you wish, at any time, but the blood quality you feed on will decide your stats until your next feed, whether it be for one turn or ten.
Abilities:
Vampiric Bite – You bite a creature, siphoning the amount of damage you dealt unto yourself. The blood type and quality syphoned will decide the quality of your stats until the next bite, including attack, defense, etc.
Finishing Bite (Reaction) - On a bite that kills an enemy, you may choose to either gain twice as much health, or gain an increased blood quality.
Blood Mark – You mark an enemy on the battlefield. Their footsteps are constantly visible to you, rendering them impossible to hide to you. As the turns pass, your temptation for your mark's blood raises, the higher it is, the more the blood quality will be when you bite them and the more damage/healing it'll deal.
Predatory Shapeshifting – You assume the form of a specific beast until dismissed or KOd:
Bat Form – You turn into a bat, allowing you to fly, use Echolocation, locating all hidden creatures, and granting weak bites. You may turn and dismiss into a bat in the same turn.
Wolf Form – You turn into a wolf, gaining increased movement speed, gaining two free Blood Marks, and dealing regular damage. You are unable to bite as a wolf.
Sanguine Reflexes (Reaction) - If an enemy attacks you from melee range, you may use this reaction, allowing you to quickly bite their arm, dealing no damage or healing but undertaking their blood type.
Blood Fog – You emit a small to medium radius of night fog that blinds everyone in it but you.
Ultimate Ability – Crimson Apex – You go into a state of heightened agression and you can fly. Each turn, you are able to take an action as each beast you can transform into, and can summon small pockets of Blood Fog wherever you wish.
