Medalla's current ice-flooded landscapes and climate are a result of a historic war between the tyrannical Cicadean Empire and the legendary dragons that once roamed the land.
With below-freezing temperatures and constant snow-storms, the kingdom of Medalla faces an ever constant struggle of cold-borne death and conflict. To add to their strife, the air-borne disease that is Vampirism ravages the populace of those who give in to the unforgiving cold.
Despite this, the nation's harsh queens shut down any outside offer of help from other nations in hopes of avoiding a repeat of the past that brought their kingdom to this state in the first place.
