Belassar System
A mid-sized star with 6 stable satellites and an asteroid belt, Belassar is part of the Sarla sector. It is of little strategic importance except that several of the planets have moderate deposits of mythra, a valuable mineral used in luxury, industrial, and military applications. The system has been populated since at least the Republic era, but beyond mining, the climates of the various habitable planets aren't particualrly conducive to large-scale settlement. Since the rise of the Empire, an exclusive mineral export contract has been issued to a corporate entity, the Belassar Extrasolar Export Consortium.
