Following dawn cycle, mission team personnel finalized tactical loadouts. Lt. JG Berza Vanel replicated multiple restraint devices in anticipation of live captures. Lt. Aze initiated development of a system-specific virus tailored for intrusion and control override.

En route through local urban zones, Klingon allies provided active obfuscation, enabling Lt. Cmdr Shris Sosalis to deepen his "Grey Man" infiltration identity. The infiltration culminated in Sosalis advancing to the target perimeter via a grav-sled, covertly rigged with an improvised flashbang.

The target’s perimeter had been passively secured by indigenous factions ("bumpers" and "shriners"), having previously disarmed non-essential personnel.

At the rear approach, the strike team maintained position until the flashbang detonated. Simultaneously, Lt. Ross observed irregular foot traffic near the Candlelight Services, known to host Rhavik's operation.

Sosalis concealed the grav-sled within a side vendor stall and ascended to the mezzanine level. Upon detonation, the flashbang neutralized interior visibility and coordination. Exterior support by Lt. JG Alissa delivered overwatch suppressive fire. Internal guards responded rapidly, but were dispatched efficiently.

Lt. JG Lon Taril and Lt. JG Berza breached through the loading bay gate under direct fire. Lt. Aze exploited the unguarded security console, successfully installing the prepared viral payload. Within seconds, he obtained override credentials ("masterkey") to the facility’s access network.

With the gate secure, Berza and Lon deployed a stun grenade into the central guard hub, incapacitating both defenders. During area sweep, a civilian attempted unauthorized access, likely in pursuit of salvage. Lon repelled the intrusion via Starfleet badge display.

Meanwhile, Lt. Ross attempted formal entry but was rebuffed by the local enforcement deputy, maintaining her undercover posture.

Cross-team communication restored, operatives compiled tricorder analytics accumulated during the incursion. However, system data revealed significant Romulan interference—synthetic artifacts had corrupted the signal matrix with false positives. Through methodical effort, Aze and Lon reconciled the datasets, isolating a singular valid telemetry point.

Extraction protocols commenced. Beamout coordinates were transmitted to the designated Starfleet blacksite. Notably, blacksite personnel queried the absence of marked artifacts for retrieval, indicating a possible oversight in objective tagging.

Upon successful transport to the Romulan facility staging perimeter (approx. 200 meters outside sensor envelope), the unit reconvened and surveyed the compound.

Visual analysis revealed a modest two-story installation with partial sentry coverage on its upper parapet. Optical surveillance systems appeared limited. However, unknown to the crew, the base perimeter was protected by a concealed lattice of tripwires and motion-sensitive mines.

Initiating the next breach phase, Sosalis led by example—scaling the exterior wall and affixing a grappling point. During ascent, he encountered a Romulan sentry and engaged in close combat. The altercation ended with the enemy being thrown over the battlement, neutralized.
