Aspiring Wizards and Ritual Casters tend to commit their time to the transcribing and practice of new spells to their spell books. When spending downtime to do this you put in the time to both translate and record the spell as well as practice it a few times for when you need to use it.

Learning/Copying New Spells

To learn or copy a new spell through this feature, the player first must pass four successful research checks, utilizing the research section of this document. After which, they can choose a school of magic to research. A DM will randomly select a spell from the corresponding chosen school. You cannot learn spells from spell scrolls crafted by other players. or from other players spell books. Quest rewards only.
