Player Character Resurrection

Resurrection

Because of the lack of resurrection spells and the inability to bring one back from the dead through normal means, the only way you can do so is through a resurrection quest. Characters may only be revived through a resurrection quest once every tier (1-4, 5-8, 9-12, 13-16, and 17-20), if a character didn't die at levels 1-4 it can only be revived once at levels 5-8 and so on, in other words, you cannot save up resurrection quests.

Rules

Below is a list of expectations for a resurrection quest.
  • The character that died and is being revived as a result of the completion of the quest may partake in the revival quest partially but it is up to the DM running the quest.

  • The quest must make sense, the party can not kill an owlbear and have the character reappear out of nowhere.

  • The quest need not be significantly difficult or long, so long as the quest and the resurrection itself make both narrative sense for the character being resurrected, and narrative sense in our setting as a whole.

  • Generally a resurrection quest concept must be approved by atleast two Senior DMs or Server Staff before it can be ran.

  • During a resurrection, the resurrection character may be allowed to change race, class, or subclass depending on the nature of the resurrection and the narrative presented in the quest. Changes to a character in this way require separate approval from Staff or Senior DMs.

  • A resurrection quest can only be performed if the character seeking the resurrection is not retired and badges are not claimed and given to a new character.
