Yggdrasil

Yggdrasil is considered the cradle of galactic civilization. It consists of 4 "Branches" (King, Thief, Priest and Mage) the "Heartwood" and the "Roots". The tips of the Branches are considered "up" while the Heartwood and the Roots are considered "down". It was named after the Tree of Life by the King of Summer Fey, Oberon. Other cultures have adopted the Feys naming conventions and call it the "Hand" with the branches called "Fingers" or likening it to a castle with towers but Yggdrasil and the tree motif is the most common nomenclature.
