Cosmology
The Sol System is named so after its star Sol—the Sun. It has 9 planets, 5 dwarf planets and 288 moons. It also contains an asteroid field between the smaller, terrestrial planets and the gas giants. Additionally, there is a ring of icy celestial bodies at the furthest distance from the Sun called the Kuiper belt. This is frequently seen as the 'edge' of the system by many.
