Nyzan-Earth Conflict

Little is known about the Nyzan Galactic Empire before their sudden appearance on Earth in late May of 2016.

In May of 2016 an unusual signal was found coming from outer space after doing some work the signal was decrypted as a transmission coming from a massive object approaching Earth at a speed above that of light, this object would collide with Earth within a week.   Earth's top security agencies came together to discuss the event and try to decrypt the supposed message in utmost secrecy. 10 hours after the signal was confirmed to be a message coming from outer space the entirety of the government information was leaked to the press.   The decrypted message was an ultimatum for Earth to turn over Ruby, a princess-in-exile and leader of a rebellious sect inside the empire. The empire demanded for the Nations United to surrender the Princess and for Earth to become a Nyzan imperial protectorate.     The NU initially agreed to turn over the princess but refused to continue diplomatic relations with the Nyzians, much less to agree for the establishment of a protectorate; hours after the NU published their declaration the Nyzians opened fire against the NU building, destroying it within seconds, then they moved to bomb downtown Manhattan. The bombing was stopped within minutes thanks to the swift actions of The Ramparts and the Global Squad who managed to bring down the Nyzian cruiser, unfortunately both teams suffered heavy casualties and had to withdraw, leaving the Nyzan army to capture the city.   The Nyzians were finally defeated after a counterattack supported by most heroes on Earth and led by Glory on June of 2016.   In July of 2016 a team of super heroes took to space in support of the resistance fighters against the empire.
