Astral Sea

The Astral Sea is a vast, silvery expanse that serves as a metaphysical plane connecting the multiverse. It is a timeless, weightless realm where travelers can move freely by thought alone. The Astral Sea is dotted with floating debris, ancient ruins, and the remnants of dead gods, as well as portals to other planes, particularly the Outer Planes. It is home to enigmatic beings such as githyanki, githzerai, astral dreadnoughts, and divine entities. Time flows strangely, and mortals risk losing themselves in its infinite expanse, making it a place of profound wonder and danger.

Creatures lost in the Astral Sea will float forever in the endless expanse needing no food, air or water, never ageing or becoming sick. They can however be killed by ordinary means or by one of it's denizens. Astral Projections have a silverly line attached to their body back on their home plane and their soul will be lost in the Astral Sea if severed.
